Star Telephone is a project combining ceramic sculptures with speculative telecommunication systems to explore how the language of love, care, and intimacy persists within accelerated regimes of efficiency.
The work unfolds a cosmic landscape in which each planet exists as a singular world, distant from others. Between the planet stretches a vast storm defined by speed, efficiency, and constant data processing. Within this cosmic weather, communication is expected to be fast, clear, and productive. Metrics cut sharply, dissecting bodies, moods, and behaviours into readable units. Language is optimised, filtered, and evaluated in the system.
Yet the clumsy, vulnerable, often inefficient language of love refuses to disappear. Instead, it drifts through alternative frequencies, with the star telephone, where intention matters over accuracy, and care outweighs clarity.
